Our Company History
Through the years...
Originally founded as Sharon Commercial Printing in 1974 by Ed Hunia and Steve Christ, the following year the company was purchased by Bob and June Beck and has been a family-owned business ever since. Eventually, in 1996 the Beck's youngest son, Randy, purchased the growing company from his parents. After just two years, the company outgrew its original home on State Street in Sharon, Pennsylvania and moved to a new, larger facility on Penn Avenue near the Penn State Shenango campus.
After many years of growth, the team at Sharon Commercial Printing felt it was time to adopt a new name that represented the company and it's goals more accurately -- and SCP Group was born.
Today, SCP Group is going strong, and we think that our success can be attributed to our first-rate customer service, the quality of the products we produce, our comittment to stay current with all the newest technologies and our over 35 years experience in the industry.
